Saving data in the Discs is the best way of keeping it safe from hard disk crashes and other unexpected system events. XP is just the name; you can use it well on the Windows 7 system too.
ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that work great on Windows along with Windows 7 and Windows 8 (including 64 bit versions). You can also use it on Linux via Wine.
