Abort XP from Shutdown
So by mistake you have shutdown the computer or is it that you forgot to the do the work before you shutdown the system whatever be the case worry not because with this small but handy trick you can stop XP from shutdown even after you have given this command. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that do the trick soon enough after giving the shutdown command.

Open the command prompt and type “shutdown –a” or “shutdown /a” and the system will abort shutting down.
But I would recommend you to make a shortcut for this as typing would take you a lot of time but shortcut can be at once and with ease. You can make a shortcut by right clicking and selecting shortcut from new. In the create shortcut wizard type the above command as it is then click next and type its name. That’s it, it’s done.
