Weren’t popups enough annoying in themselves that we have popunders popping as well? If you are reading this I am guessing you might have faced this situation with yourself as well. First for clarity, lets see what are popups and popunders and what is the difference between?
Popups and Popunders are both ad types the sole difference being while popups pops over the current active window you are working upon, whereas the popunders are the ad window that opens under the current window you are working upon. While Popups feel more annoying, popunders feel less annoying but they are still an extra window that you haven’t opened. Continue reading “Block almost all Annoying Pop-Ups and Pop-Unders in Chrome”
Most of us today are using Android devices and are struggling with fast battery drain. Well, one of the causes for this issue can be Wakelocks in your device or phone.
What is Wakelock?
As the name suggests, wakelock means that there is some kind of lock that is preventing your phone to go to sleep and stay awake.
Why should you bother?
Every phone/device has its own system of saving battery. It starts by dimming the screen and them turning it off completely when idle. What if there are apps in your phone that are still using your battery without your knowledge and not letting your phone to sleep? Your phone will consume a lot of battery and that too very fast. So it all started when I decided to upgrade my Windows 8 laptop to Windows 10. The installation failed and what I was left with was a laptop that had no OS, since Win 8 was removed and Win 10 wasn’t installed.
I decided to do a clean installation of Windows 10 now, but for that I had to delete and format my hard disk which means losing my factory default Windows recovery partition. Well, whatever be the case, using the below freeware you can also create your own dedicated Recovery Partition in Windows 7, 8 or 10 (both 32 and 64 bits).
The software is called as AOMEI OneKey Recovery. Although it is more of a paid software but it also comes in a free version with limited features but enough for us to create a recovery partition. Do note here that by recovery partition I mean, a dedicated drive on your hard disk that can come useful in case of system crash or issues (I don’t mean any bootable CD or USB recovery drive). Being a GoPro Studio user myself for editing videos I know that GoPro takes only mp4 videos as input (Step 1) or avi videos as input at Step 2 of the conversion process. While GoPro records perfect uncompressed videos for editing in the Studio, not all video recorder are the same.
I realized this when I actually created some screen recordings of a tutorial in avi format using a third tool. Since I had put lot of efforts in recording the video I knew re-recording was not possible. Hence I had to convert the avi video into GoPro compatible Cineform mp4 or avi formats. Recently I got myself Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ which is a fantastic smartphone with a curved screen on both the sides. I love the phone and there is absolutely nothing in it which it can’t do when compared to any other phone in the current market.
To add to the features that I love in this phone, there is one feature of Adaptive Fast Charging which means when the battery goes down you can fast charge it to full in around 30-40 mins but if you compare this to other phones they would still take like 90 to 120 mins to completely charge. Sometimes you learn about something when you are presented with options. I never knew or better to say, I never figured out that there exists two different formats for a CD/DVD disk. It was last week, when I went on Amazon to buy a DVD pack for myself that I found that there actually exists two different DVD types (excluding others like RW, RAM), DVD-R and DVD+R (DVD minus R and DVD plus R) and it was then that I began reading more on that and finding out what are the differences.
So in case you are still not sure about the key differences between –r and +r formats and why do they even exists, then I am jotting down my findings. Continue reading “Differences between DVD-R and DVD+R”
We are inundated with entertainment access each and every day. If you’re like me then you’re the type of person to spend nearly an hour sorting through the stations, browsing the Web, purchasing digital games, unlimited music stations, or scrolling through Netflix to find something to watch. There is so much choice that it starts to become a problem which people like to call information overload.
On one hand it’s amazing that we have so much content available but on the other it feels like there is simply so much that we can’t decide on what we want to do; it’s an interesting problem.
