I had an iPhone for a long time and really liked it but keeping the same stuff for a long time always bores you up. We always require change and this is why I missed customization in iPhone, although it is possible to customize it but not everything. I always wanted to change the Status Bar color of iPhone from default black to some other color and keep changing to suit my moods but it wasn’t possible to do so.
Well not anymore, if you have a jailbroken iPhone then here is a Cydia app developed for this purpose called as StatusColor by RiDan (you might also find an app with the same name StatusColor app but you can distinguish by the name of the developer).
StatusColor lets you easily change the status bar color of your iPhone to any color you want, in real time, without the need of respringing the iPhone and that too for free.
So after you have downloaded and installed this app, you can change the color of your status bar by using the color sliders in the settings. Just head on to the Settings and look for this app, and start adjusting the sliders to suit the color of your mood. The color change will be real time and you would be able to see the difference at the same time on the top, so that you can stop sliding when you liked it. The major colors Red, Green and Blue are present as sliders, whereas other colors can be prepared using the combinations.
The app is free to use and is available for download in the BigBoss repo of the Cydia store for free. Some of you might be using Winterboard for this purpose but having a simple yet cool app for this purpose is not a bad idea either.
So if you liked it, go ahead and give it a try. [via]
