Free Microsoft OneNote app for iPhone

OneNote from Microsoft is really a great application that solves our many purposes and for all those who like using this tool a lot, there is more to celebrate. Microsoft had recently launched the iPhone app version of the application for all those who don’t like to be away from this tool.

Microsoft OneNote Mobile is an easy-to-use note-taking application for capturing all of your ideas and to-dos on the go, brought to you by Microsoft Office. There are many things that you can do with OneNote like create searchable notes with text, pictures, bullets, and checkboxes. Then keep your notes in sync using free Windows Live SkyDrive cloud storage to access, edit and manage them from virtually anywhere, from your PC or almost any web browser.

Moreover the app is currently free in the iTunes store and would remain so for around a month however the actual date is not known yet. The down side of the news is that, the app is not yet been developed for either the Android users or for the Mac users but Apple claims that the development is in progress and shall be ready by end of this year. Even iPad users need to wait for a little.

Requirements of using this app:

▪ iPhone or iPod touch must have iOS 4.2 or higher
▪ A free Windows Live ID is required to use OneNote Mobile – use an existing one or let OneNote Mobile help you sign up
▪ Web functionality uses the free OneNote Web App available on Windows Live SkyDrive, which requires a supported web browser
▪ OneNote Mobile opens notebooks created in Microsoft OneNote 2010 or the OneNote Web App
▪ Customizing section colors requires Microsoft OneNote 2010
