How to Copy Cycorder Videos from iPhone to Computer without Wifi
Though iPhone doesn’t support video recording capability on its own but there is an app available in Cydia called Cycorder that can provide iPhone with video recording capability.

Now this is a major problem for all those people like me who doesn’t have a Wifi connectivity at home but wanted to take the backup of their Cycorder recorded videos. However we can easily transfer our cycorder videos from iPhone to PC without the need of Wifi or WinSCP tool.
I have many videos recorded from Cycorder in my iPhone and using the following method I can save them using only the USB cable and that too without Wifi and iTunes.
Steps:
1. You just need to download and install iPhone file explorer software like iPhone Browser (recommended) or DiskAid (other link).
2. Connect the iPhone via USB cable and run the software.
3. Now navigate to the folder var/mobile/Media/Videos. You will see all the videos there in .mov extension.
4. Right click on it and choose save as to save the file.
Now you can share your cycorder shot videos with anyone. The advantage of this method is that the file is copied at a faster rate than using Wifi.

And since for some reason, iPhoneBrowser won’t work on our PC but DiskAid did, your post was doubly helpful!! Again, many thanks! Now I got my videos downloaded!

@angela
Try undoing the thing that you did recently. You may also reinstall .net framework and the software or use DiskAid otherwise

Thanks a lot for the info.
I used to use DiskAid to copy Cycorder video from iPhone into PC, but DiskAid v3.0 which support iPhone firmware 3.0 DOESN’T FREE anymore. iPhoneBrowser is the best choice for me.

when i save the files to my computer, they are saved as an unplayable format. Quicktime, windows media and even VLC player won’t read them. is there any way to play them or convert them?
July 24th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
@izzy
they can be played by Quick time easily, you may wish to install the codec pack

i use the software to flip and turn the video that i recorder to using Cycorder and not the new AVI doesnt play.
When window media detected it, there is a message…Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.”
what should i do?

Thank you so much for this tutorial/link to iphonebrowser! It’s interesting to be able to see everything inside the phone as if it were a hard drive, but it’s scary to see that you can easily manipulate precious data in it. Not for the faint hearted, only for those who know what they’re doing!!!
Again, thank you for this info.

I tried Diskaid and now, after 14 days I must pay !! NOT FREE !! at first when you think it’s always free you beging filming like crazy so when the trial period comes you feel compeled to buy. Screw Diskaid. They don’t mention in their YouTube VDO that it is only a TRIAL!!

August 21st, 2009 at 7:29 pm
@dieppn
use vlc-mediaplayer, it’s the best player!!
most video codecs are included. there is even a portable version of it.

Sorry for those many posts, but there is one more question.
Does it work without jailbreak?
August 22nd, 2009 at 6:14 pm

I used iPhoneBrowser and it was working fine, but for some reason now, when I transfer the videos to my computer, they can’t be read. The videos I uploaded yesterday worked fine but the newer ones wont read for some reason. I downloaded the Codec Pack and VLC just shows an error. What do you suggest? Thanks!
