How to Copy Cycorder Videos from iPhone to Computer without Wifi

Though iPhone doesn’t support video recording capability on its own but there is an app available in Cydia called Cycorder that can provide iPhone with video recording capability.

Now this is a major problem for all those people like me who doesn’t have a Wifi connectivity at home but wanted to take the backup of their Cycorder recorded videos. However we can easily transfer our cycorder videos from iPhone to PC without the need of Wifi or WinSCP tool.

I have many videos recorded from Cycorder in my iPhone and using the following method I can save them using only the USB cable and that too without Wifi and iTunes.

Steps:

1.    You just need to download and install iPhone file explorer software like iPhone Browser (latest version recommended) or DiskAid (other link).

2.    Connect the iPhone via USB cable and run the software.

3.    Now navigate to the folder var/mobile/Media/Videos. You will see all the videos there in .mov extension.

4.    Right click on it and choose save as to save the file.

Now you can share your cycorder shot videos with anyone. The advantage of this method is that the file is copied at a faster rate than using Wifi.

    Great info.

    It won’t be a problem if you use Cucusoft iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer
    It automatically transfers your iPod and iPhone music, video, playlist, photos to computer and iTunes. Backup all your music and video in a couple of clicks. Really makes music and videos sharing pretty simple and enjoyable. Wish this can help and good luck.

    I think its step by step guide is most helpful.

    My old laptop was broken,and i just got a new one,and installed diskaid and itunes…now i wanted to save all my videos and fotos from my iphone and I’m afraid that if i’ll plug in my iphone into my new laptop my files will be lost…does anyone had an idea how this thing works?plsss really need ur help.

  10. admin says:

    @anne
    Since Diskaid and Iphonebrowser works independent of iTunes, you would not loose your videos. To save pics just make use of windows explorer that is open the iPhone as a drive and copy all your photos from there.
    However whenever you sync your iPhone with the iTunes you will lose data if you don’t have the library backed up.

    @sameh
    The process is similar, you just need to figure out the folder where the recordings should be and then copy from there.

    Omg you saved me! Whoever wrote this article is my hero! I thought i would lose all my videos (hundreds) because i am in a situation where i need to sync and completely empty my iPhone and i had no way of accessing my files before i did so. Thought id have to give up, but gosh this actually works! Now i have all my videos safely stored on my computer. It was a little tricky at first to download iPhoneBrowser, it didnt want to launch, but finally it worked. :) Great advice!

  36. admin says:

    Thanks Kirsti, actually the steps are what i did on mine to get the video. Glad you liked it.
