If you are on a shared system then you need to protect it from others and there are couple of options today which we can use to login into Windows. For instance, in my own laptop I have enabled three different types of login methods, which are Finger scan, Password and a PIN. So I can get into my account with any of these methods but not everyone has setup this type of protection in their laptops.
While having a password for the system is good but it comes with some related problems. If you have a weak password for your account, it is likely to be attacked whereas if you have kept the password too strong, it would be very difficult for you to remember it. Here is a simple way that will free you from remembering the passwords and adds a sense of more security to your machine.
With the tool called Rohos Logon Key, you can create a USB login key using which you can login into your machine without the need of entering the password ever again. Rohos Logon Key is an app that converts your normal USB drive into a login card for your machine so that when you insert this drive to your locked machine, it gets unlocked on its own without asking for the password again.
The advantages of using this app are that, you don’t need to remember any password again and it also frees you from the burden of creating a password again and again. The password stored in the USB drive is also encrypted and can’t be read by anyone. However you now need to be more careful in protecting this drive.
When you insert a drive into the machine for the setup, you just need to click the Setup USB Key button and enter the unlock password. Now your drive will act as a Windows login key. The app is free to use while there is one premium version also available for it.
