Wouldn’t it be good if your computer speaks to you? It would be fun if your computer can speak what you want it to, right? By default, our Windows have its own voice that can also be customized in the Control Panel of the system.
Whether just for fun, fooling your friends or just testing the system sound, you can make your computer speak whatever you type in the machine and that too without using any tool. There may be many tools available for this purpose but it would always be better if the same task can be done without using any and without the need of messing up the registry more.
Here is how to:
1. Just copy the text given below and paste it in the notepad (with any name).
Dim message, sapimessage=InputBox(“What do you want me to say?”,”Speak to Me”)Set sapi=CreateObject(“sapi.spvoice”)sapi.Speak message
2. Save and close it.
3. Now you need to rename the extension of the notepad from .txt to .vbs to make it a vb script file.
4. If you double click to open the file now, it will open the wizard where you can type any text. Pressing OK will make the system to pronounce what was typed in it.
The script uses the system sound to communicate and the voice will be heard from the speakers (so in case your speakers are not working, you won’t be able to hear).
You can also download the script from link below(you will need to unzip it first), if you are finding it little hard to create one. Go ahead and have fun 🙂
