Open the Prefetch File using WinPrefetchView
You must have come across a file named Prefetch with .pf extension, in case if you are also wondering what file is this and how to view the contents of this file then here are the details.
Whenever we run an application in our system, a Prefetch file which contains information about the files loaded by the application is created by Windows. The file is used to observe the loading time of the application.
WinPrefetchView is a small utility that reads the Prefetch files stored in your system and display the information stored in them. Thus we can also get to know which all files are used by which program. The tool is a freeware and is small in size.
