Process Information: What is mDNSResponder.exe?
If you have been wondering what this process named mDNSResponder.exe is and what is it doing there in the computer then here are the details.

If you have Apple iTunes installed in your system then you must have seen this process one or the other day in your task manager. The mDNSResponder.exe process is related to the Apple’s Bonjour Service and gets installed automatically when you install iTunes in the system.
Why is it running?
The process is not of much importance and is running because it had installed itself along with the iTunes setup.
How to remove mDNSResponder.exe?
The process can be either disabled or removed from the computer. To disable it just type services.msc in the Run box and disable the Bonjour Service listed there (vice versa to enable it).
To remove it from the system
Type cmd in the Run box and type the command cd c:\program files\bonjour and then mDNSResponder.exe –remove and then rename mdsnNSP.dll mdsnNSP.bak
Now you can delete the bonjour directory from the computer (it can be installed again if you need it).
