It is very irritating that while working over the internet suddenly all network activity goes down and we come across a Generic Host Problem

“Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience”

The problem was reported by one of our readers and here is the solution to fix the problem.

Solution:

Follow both the steps below in order to solve the problem

1.    Open registry editor by typing regedit in the Run box.

2.    Now navigate to the following entry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters

In the right side you will see an entry named “TransportBindName”, delete the original value to give a blank value.

3.    Now navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\OLE

In the right side there is key named “EnableDCOM”, modify it from Y to N.

4.    Restart the computer for changes to take place.

This should have fixed the problem.
