Sending and receiving text messages (SMS) is one of the most popular activities among the teenagers as well as the service people. Some of them use it to exchange information and some use it for fun. If we exchange text messages via internet, then it would be the easiest task.
There are many websites that offers you to send messages to your contacts using their server. Even they add the name of their website in the message. However, if you have an Android phone, then instead of using any website you can use your chrome browser to send text messages.
There are many advantages of sending a text message from internet like composing a text via keyboard is much easier than the virtual keyboard that we use on our android phones. Secondly you can send or receive text without having your phone in your hand. Thus you don’t have to keep an eye on your phone in order to check text notifications. You can even send text messages for the calls that by chance you missed. So if you want to use this feature, you have to install an extension called Mighty Text (previously it was Texty) on your Chrome and Mighty Text app on your Android phone too.
After installing these applications on both the devices, you have to log in to your Google account to establish a connection. Once you properly sign in to your Google account, it will start synchronization between your phone and chrome browser.
If you want to use this feature, the basic requirements are Android 2.2 or above and you should have a working Mobile network (GPRS) or Wi-Fi connection and Background Data must be enabled on your phone. The application for your phone and for your browser can be downloaded from the links given below.
